Please accept this message as a huge THANK YOU for supplying the books for our students last year. Every one of my students enjoyed the opportunity to select a book as I formulated an idea to assist with a reading challenge. Our students were required to read every day and record their minutes. As a reward, the students' classroom who read the most got first dibs on their selection. It was great. As you can see from the picture every one of my 240 students took a book home.
Once again, thank you for all of your donations last year and we continue to look forward to collaborating with you this year.

As a rule, The Art For Aid Project doesn't accept books to ship because of the costs of shipping. However, when I put the word out for help, you responded. I was so grateful for the quality of the books, the interesting topics, the fascinating science books, weather books, and yes...multiple copies of "Frozen" for which the girls were very grateful. The people who support the work we do here made this picture happen - all of you who saw this request and stepped up to help, these smiles belong to you all. Miigwetch. Thank you.

March/April 2018 - This past year we were approached by The Maple Project, an infrastructure improvement organization working in Wikwemikong, to send art supplies and find books for their new library. People generously donated some wonderful books to the new library! We are grateful to Harold Fox, Principal of the Pontiac School for helping with the logistics of this project and to The Maple Project for providing the shipping and pickup for it all.
