September 2017 - Sending Wool to Iqaluit

The Great Wool Shipment of 2017

Recently a kind soul donated her entire collection of excellent grade wool (Merino woll and higher) and we sent a total of 16 boxes to Nunavut and Baffin Island.

This was the largest shipment we've done to date and today there are many happy "Knorthern Knitters" who will enjoy passing the time this winter in creative high gear.

Thank you to all who support this work.

With gratitude.
April 14, 2017

On April 6, 2017 I was a feature artist at RAW Ottawa. It was an overwhelming and humbling success. You supported me. You allowed The Art For Aid Project to donate tickets on your behalf to local Indigenous organizations and you supported Ottawa's art community. I am deeply grateful.
Your support saw 5 boxes of art supplies sent out to 2 remote schools and communities this past week - one in Manitoba and one in Ontario. We sent 89 pounds of paint, brushes, canvases, markers, and one serious box of boredom killing beads.

Thank you to David Pattee from RAW.org-Ottawa for being a vehicle that's helped me to bring greater awareness to our work.

Art has a powerful voice in the spirit of our Indigenous youth. Long days are often filled with thoughts and visions wishing for life. In truth, boredom is merely creative genius without fuel.

So thank you to everyone who supports this work.

The Art For Aid Project attended the innaugural event for "Art School Fair" in Ottawa
October 31 and November 1, 2015

The event was a brilliant success with much attention given to our work. We are grateful to the organizers for putting together such a brilliant collection of artists, art education facilities, instructors and volunteers. The Ottawa art community has just revealed a diamond in the organization skills of David and Crystal at www.ArtSchoolFair.com.

We are looking forward to attending this event again next year!
