Cat Lake First Nation

Cat Lake FN is a fly-in community located approximately 180 kilometres northwest of Sioux Lookout in northwestern Ontario in Treaty 9 area and on the central north shore of Cat Lake.  As of November 2007, their total registered population was 612 people, of which their on-reserve population was 497.

In January Charlie Angus called attention to the serious housing crisis at Cat Lake. We shipped Mylar blankets and a box of art supplies to help pass the winter with something interesting.

Education is overseen by the Windigo Education Authority.
